People often think that imagination will always be better than reality, that is because people tend to imagine things that are kind of the opposite of their current life. Imagination is usually something better, something that people want. It is indeed normal to have an imagination that may seem like better than your reality but if you wake up every single day wishing that your imagination can be a replacement of your reality, then you might want to change your life now.
It is a huge sign that you are clearly unhappy and unsatisfied with how your life is going right now. It doesn’t even matter if you are rich or poor if you are successful or not. If you are truly unhappy then you got to change something because you will just continue to be miserable.
It is only you who has the power to change that because it is your life, people may have a huge impact on your life right now but you are the one who wakes up every single day with a choice. The choice to reflect on things that are making you unhappy, the choice to start making your imagination a reality, and the choice to simply just change things one step at a time.
Lying To Yourself To Escape The Truth
Another great sign is that you know very well that you need to start changing some things in your life, but you refuse to believe in it. Being in denial will get you nowhere, in fact, it will just make you even more miserable than you already are. If you are unhappy with your current romantic relationship, try to change things up and talk about it with your partner. If you continue lying to yourself that everything is fine then things might not go well.
If you think that you are hanging out with the people that you don’t even like, then start making new friends. You don’t need to immediately stop making friends with your current ones, just widen your options and it may even help you out with your in denial situation.
Covering up the truth despite how much you can see it may be something that you would regret in the future. Don’t waste any more time, life can be beautiful if you live it with truth and happiness.
The Fear of Unknown
This one could probably hit some nerve to everyone, the previous two signs are just considered as appetizers because this one right here is the main course. The fear of the unknown has got to be the main and the most common reason why people refuse to even try to change even just a tiny bit of their lives.
They refuse to leave their current job and try to look for new ones because they are afraid that they will never have a much better job than this one, even if it is literally killing them to get up in the morning and face the day.
They refuse to leave their partner because they are afraid that they might be alone for the rest of their lives, even if they are literally the total opposite and they are just not happy with one another. This fear of the unknown can totally control people’s lives. It is the worst fear there is because it is something, not something that everyone can conquer. Some people die just settling for less and not being happy because of this fear.
What you can do to try and conquer this fear is to take it one step at a time. The fact that you are already aware of the fact that you need to change even if you are scared, is already an achievement. Try it with small things like changing your routine such as, ordering a different kind of coffee, trying out different hairstyles, and more.
